Job Description for Application Service Analyst (Support)
1. Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for MI applications under the boundaries and in consultation with the functional specialist of MI Applications Support team.
2. Applications administration.
3. Manage functional mailbox and clarify queue requests.
4. Manage on call coverage: Be able to provide L2 support for applications that are not under the primary responsibility.
5. Timely escalate these calls when needed.
6. Provide technical support by regularly checking application availability and performance status, performing troubleshooting steps, or changing code whenever and wherever needed.
7. Identify and drive applications and process improvement opportunities to impact positively the team’s productivity
8. Participate in projects as identified and whenever needed.
9. Issue resolution, and manage any database changes.
10. Participate and drive problem management.
11. Support the team for adherence to defined repeatable processes.
12. Drive improvements.
13. Work with Functional Specialist(s) to address time sensitive requests and identify and recommend resources for the resolving the same.
14. Work on scheduling jobs, and interface with other teams (Change Management, Incident Management, etc) to drive the resolution/change in the applications that are under areas of responsibility.
Requirements
Application Support Analyst –Services Support
ï¬ï€ Strong understanding of and experience in applications administration and troubleshooting skills
ï¬ï€ Should be
ï®ï€ well versed with Microsoft application platform concepts e.g. MS Windows 2003 server, .Net framework, IIS Services, publishing websites.
ï®ï€ able to provide L3 support (identify all possible solutions)
ï®ï€ independently work on an issue resolution and do an RCA
ï®ï€ able to reverse engineer where possible
ï®ï€ able to script - OS and application level
ï®ï€ schedule jobs at both client and server end
ï¬ï€ Are plus:
ï®ï€ Working experience in cloud computing
ï®ï€ Working experience in .Net platform, ASP, JSP
ï®ï€ Good understanding of and experience in SharePoint MOSS 2007 administration and troubleshoot skills
ï¬ï€ Good understanding of MS SQL database server 2K/2K5
Qualification -
Any Full time Graduate with
1. Minimum 2.5 years experience in SQL 2000 and SQL 2005, atleast one year in SQL 2005. Strong knowledge on Stored procedures and triggers in SQL.
2. ASP Classic- 2.5 years
3. Ready to work on server-site support
4. DOT NET 2.0/3.5 is an added advantage.
