• Experience in working in a Datacenter environment for 2+ years or setups of 50 servers or more
• Responsible for Windows Platform and Microsoft applications
• Responsible for managing multiple Windows 2003/2008 Servers
• Installation & configuring of test & production servers including clusters
• Monitoring services through the use of monitoring tools for vital system statistics
• Adequate Knowledge of MS Patching and resolving the security based problems.
• Practical experience on Client Backup tools like TSM, VERITAS, Arc server etc.,
• Knowledge of Citrix, VM ware and remote server support is an added advantage.
• Trouble shooting server based problems with root cause analysis.
• Problem solving Capability in IBM, HP and Dell Hardware.
• Experience in handling customer base environment of more than 50 servers will be essential.
• Good Understanding of trouble shooting & Server based Commands
• General Knowledge of Storage, Networking and backup devices
• Experience on the following layered products:
o DNS
o DHCP
o WINS
o TCP/IP
o IIS & FTP
• Strong concepts of TCP / IP
• In depth Knowledge & Experience of managing complex tasks like :
o File / Directory Permissions
o Logical Volume Manager
o OS & layered product Installation
o Patch Management Planning & Installation
o Managing backup in products like EMC/ Symantec Networker storage management.
• Experience in creating WMI Scripts for Automating the manual tasks
• Exposure to troubleshooting and config management of min 2 of the following technologies:
1. Microsoft Exchange Server 2003/2007
2. Microsoft Office Share Point Services
3. ISA
4. MS Virtualization 2008
5. Microsoft CRM
6. Microsoft Dynamics AX
7. MS SQL Server
Desired Profile We are looking for an Windows L2 Support engineer for our Datacenter based out of Hyderabad, with strong administration skills on Microsoft platforms
• Should have good communication skills and excellent customer interfacing skills
• Should have a minimum of 3 yrs of experience in windows server administration preferably MCSA/MCSE.
• Should have good analytical/problem solving skills
• Should be good at time management & should have the ability & desire to learn new skills.
• Should have lead a team of L1 and L0 for a given set of servers
