1 To handle WAS6 admin activities.

2 To maintain WAS6 Cluster which is running more than 100+ J2EE PR applications.

3 To handle all J2EE application performance and stability issues happening with WAS6 cluster daily.

4 To handle all J2EE application deployment issues with WAS cluster and its running state issues.

Unique Selling Proposition (USP) of The Role WAS6 Support and Administration

Details of The Project (A short Briefing on the Project may be attached with this document for candidate- briefing). It may be shared with external stakeholders like job-agencies etc. WebSphere Application Server v6 Support and administration. 100+ WAS6 Applications are running in WAS6 cluster. All application related issues and deployments and its running state being maintained by WAS6 Support team. As a production support team, we need to be responsible for all WAS6 cluster and application issues in WAS6.

Oracle Dba

4-7 years of Oracle application system administration

· Installation, configuration and upgrading of Oracle server software and related products

· Establish and maintain backup/recovery policies and procedures

· Implement and maintain database security

· DB tuning and performance monitoring

Disk layout and Disk capacity planning

· Monitoring and maintenance of databases

Install, configure and setup Database and Real Application Cluster.

· Build Data Warehouse and Reporting system

· Oracle web server admin

· Scheduling/monitoring daily, weekly events/reports

· Log file monitoring

· Oracle application migrations

· Multi tier Oracle applications

· A good understanding of PL/SQL, Triggers, etc

· A good knowledge of Oracle security management

· Code migration, DB change management & data management

· Develop and Build Data Warehouse and reporting system.

· Experience with Oracle 9i, 9i RAC and 9i partitioning

· Shell scripting

· Experience with MySQL

· Experience with MS SQL Server

· Proficiency in English: Spoken and Written

· Prior experience in working and interacting in a professional engineering environment (internal and external)

Windows Operating systems

Candidate should have strong knowledge and work experience on the following operating systems Windows XP, Windows 7/Vista and Windows 2003/2008 in terms of installation, configuration, troubleshooting and windows scripting

Candidate should have good knowledge on Remote Desktop, Citrix ICA, VMware Workstation, Microsoft Virtual server 2005 and Virtual PC 2007

Network

LAN/TCP-IP, DNS configuration, remote access configuration, RDP and associated troubleshooting skills

Active Directory

AD Users, Groups administration and Group Policy

Microsoft SMS/SCCM

Good knowledge and hands-on experience in creating SMS/SCCM packages, creating advertisements and publishing applications to desktop PC

1.Monitor incident and service management queues

2.Ensure the department is in compliance with Change Management policies and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements

3.Install, patch and upgrade OS software for Solaris and Red Hat Linux systems

4.Develop process and work instruction documentation to enable Level 1 & 2 support from 24/7 (NOC) staff

5.Monitor and maintain UNIX systems and infrastructure services such as FTP, DNS, NIS, BIND, Veritas Cluster Server, Sendmail and syslog

6.Review the overall environment and inform management of new technologies and best practices to improve system performance and availability

Job Description

Candidates should have hands on experience with :

Good demonstration skill and troubleshooting experience on Solaris

Experience on Veritas Volume Manager and Cluster Environment.

Good Understanding of system virtualization.

Experience on SendMail and DNS, NIS and FTP Server Administration and Troubleshooting.

Significant experience with PERL and shell scripting

Experience in managing Business Critical Applications and Database Servers.

Experience on System Performance Analysis and Tuning.

Knowledge on InfoBlox, IronPort and Majordomo.
